Johannesburg is South Africa’s largest city and the economic hub of Africa. It was built on gold, which was discovered on the Witwatersrand and the cause of Joburg's rapid growth. It is also often described as one of the world's largest man-made forests with well over 10 million trees!
Our Johannesburg poster shows the city’s skyline against a sunset sky, with Jacaranda trees in bloom adding their recognisable splash of purple. In the foreground, Hadedas bring a familiar South Africa feel, while a passing airplane hints at the city’s role as a major travel hub and home to the country’s busiest airport.
