Pretoria
Known as the 'Jacaranda City,' Pretoria transforms every spring into a sea of purple blossoms, creating one of the most striking urban landscapes in the South Africa. The city has a rich history, and was founded way back in 1855 by Marthinus Wessel Pretorius, and in 1910 became the administrative capital of South Africa, a title it still holds today.
Our Pretoria poster is a beautiful summertime setting, with the landscape dominated by the bright purple of the famous Jacarandas (of which estimates say there are up to 70000 in the city). In the distance one can see both the CBD and the Union Buildings, with a sky full of typical high-veld cumulonimbus clouds
