Hermanus
Hermanus, a coastal town in South Africa’s Western Cape, is renowned for its beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and for being one of the world's best whale watching destinations. It is situated along Walker Bay, and draws visitors from across the globe - especially from June to November when Southern Right Whales can often be spotted just tens of meters from the shore.
Our Hermanus poster captures a magical scene, featuring two Southern Right Whales breaching in the bay, viewed from the Hermanus Waterfront area. This a popular spot for watching the whales and listening out for the iconic whale crier who alerts anyone within hearing distance to the presence of whales in the bay using a kelp horn. On the rocks at the front of the poster two Cape Rockjumpers can be spotted.
